ServiceNow ITAM Business Process Consultant

Our client, a leading IT Services and Consulting firm, are hiring an experienced ServiceNow Business Process Consultant to join the team on a contract basis in Illinois. Focusing on Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM), the successful candidate will lead discovery sessions, design and implement ITAM processes and guide clients in adopting best practices that deliver measurable business value.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate client workshops and discovery sessions to gather requirements, map processes and uncover opportunities for optimization.

• Design and deliver ServiceNow HAM and SAM solutions that align with client objectives and industry-leading ITAM best practices.

• Convert business needs into detailed functional designs and user stories for technical implementation teams.

• Provide expert advice on software licensing, compliance and asset optimization strategies.

• Integrate ITAM processes seamlessly with ITSM, CMDB, Discovery, Procurement and other ServiceNow modules.

• Oversee training, testing and post-implementation support to ensure successful user adoption and long-term value.

• Serve as a trusted strategic advisor, guiding clients on the ServiceNow roadmap and platform capabilities to support future growth.

Skillset

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including at least 3 years focused on ITAM (HAM/SAM) implementations.

• Proven track record in business process consulting, functional design or ServiceNow solution delivery.

• Solid understanding of CMDB, Discovery and Lifecycle Management principles.

• Practical experience configuring and deploying SAM Pro and HAM Pro modules.

• Deep knowledge of software licensing models and hardware asset management processes.

• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CIS–HAM, CIS–SAM or CIS–ITAM is a bonus.

• Experience working within a ServiceNow partner or consulting environment is a plus.

• Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

• Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple client-facing projects simultaneously.
