Responsibilities
- Circulate in the operating room during a range of procedures, maintaining patient safety and sterile technique
- Prepare the OR, anticipate supplies/equipment needs, and coordinate with the surgical team, anesthesia, and support staff
- Manage instrument counts, specimen handling, and safe room turnover between cases
- Assist with ortho cases (including total joints, hip fractures, arthroscopy, ORIFs, and shoulder scopes/replacements) and with general, neuro, vascular, gynecologic, and urologic procedures as assigned
- Document intraoperative events and ensure accurate perioperative records
- Communicate promptly with the circulating team to support patient-focused care and optimal outcomes

Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license (Nursys verification required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 3 years of circulating OR experience
- Proficient in ortho cases (total joints, hip fractures, arthroscopy, ORIFs, shoulder procedures) and in general, neuro, vascular, gynecologic, and urologic surgery
- Ability to work in a hospital OR environment and adapt to a fast-paced surgical schedule
- Candidate’s permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment location
- Eligible for travel assignment; able to meet assignment start date and duration requirements
