- This is a role for someone who craves a challenge balanced by the desire to be accountable for delivering against the model across the Kraft Heinz enterprise. It is both a strategic and a tactical position. Those that do not want to get their hands dirty or build out a future pipeline should not apply.
 
Role / Title
- This is an R&D technical role that provides direction for and executes projects in the Coffee Category. The candidate will be scoping and/or executing technical projects to meet business initiatives focused on Innovation, Quality Improvement, and Value Engineering. This candidate will also coach and develop junior developers and must have a proven record of executing work plans and driving for results. This includes basic understanding of the business need, designing and executing tests, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, documenting, communicating results, and commercializing products. Proven communication, leadership, and teamwork skills are essential in this role, which operates in a cross-functional environment. The candidate must also have a strong technical background and be able to apply prior learning or scientific principles to new situations. This position requires an individual to manage multiple assignments/tasks concurrently and demonstrate a high degree of autonomy. Exhibiting a collaborative mindset and applying innovative solutions are a must.
 
Key Components of the role
- Work with cross-functional teams to launch programs
 
- Demonstrated experience in leading commercialization of key programs
 
- Demonstrates the willingness/ability to learn new product categories and/or processing/packaging areas.
 
- Translate research findings into meaningful business opportunities and communicate to cross-functional teams
 
- Formula/product commercialization working closely with cross-functional team members in production plants
 
- Thought leader in adapting and applying scientific principles to new situations/products
 
- Manage multiple assignments/research projects concurrently and possess the ability to call out priority conflicts between a variety of business initiatives
 
- Specification creation and updating, with attention to detail
 
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
 
- Minimum of 5 years in a Technical Function (which can include all graduate and/or internship work), previous Coffee experience is a plus
 
- Solid understanding of food (can be specific to Meat, Dairy, Coffee, Nuts…) chemistry, analytical testing, formulations and processing used in food manufacturing
 
- Understanding of ingredient functionality and interrelationship of ingredients, process, and packaging
 
- Excellent communication, influencing, project management and problem solving skills
 
- Ability to coach and motivate others
 
- Lead multiple assignments/tasks concurrently with the ability to question the priority of work
 
- Ability to plan, put together well thought out design of experiments, anticipate next steps and incorporate course corrections when hurdles appear
 
- Strong understanding of Design of Experiments
 
- Willingness to travel 30%

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$88,000.00 – $110,000.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
