ECHO Incorporated is looking for a hands-on Warehouse Group Leader with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. The Warehouse Group Leader is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations across receiving, material handling, inventory control, storage, picking, packing, and shipping . This role coordinates employees and workflow to ensure materials and finished goods are received, stored, handled, and shipped safely, accurately, and on time while meeting productivity, quality, and customer service expectations.

1st Shift Shift M-F 6:00am-2:30pm starting at $18.50/HR! (DOE) This position also qualifies for a yearly bonus!

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily receiving and warehouse activities while ensuring compliance with company safety and quality standards.
  • Operate forklifts, stand-up lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment safely.
  • Coordinate daily warehouse workflow and employee assignments to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage incoming inventory by unloading trucks, inspecting materials, and verifying quantities against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
  • Ensure the accuracy of picked, packed, and palletized products prior to shipment.
  • Accurately document inbound and outbound shipments in warehouse systems.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of materials.
  • Lead, train, coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback to warehouse team members.
  • Assist with employee scheduling, daily workload assignments, and manpower planning to meet operational and shipping requirements.
  • Support the Distribution Supervisor in identifying staffing needs and assigning work based on operational priorities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including receiving docks, storage locations, staging areas, and shipping areas.
  • Collaborate with Distribution Center Leaders, Supervisors, and cross-functional departments to achieve operational goals.
  • Partner with the Supervisor to identify root causes of quality or operational concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Complete required reports, documentation, and production records accurately and within established timelines.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement throughout warehouse operations.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or related experience .
  • Previous leadership experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment required.
  • Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong math, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control practices.
  • Experience with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications .
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Work Schedule and Environment:

  • Full-time position.
  • Fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.
  • Frequent operation of forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
  • Frequent interaction with warehouse personnel, transportation providers, and cross-functional departments.
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, stoop, climb, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds .
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, stand-up lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work around moving machinery, warehouse traffic, and loading dock operations while following all safety procedures.
