Candidates must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while adapting to a dynamic working environment. Professional in demeanor, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and relates well to other employees. Qualifications
  • 4-year college Degree in a related content area or 5 years experience in a related field & IT certifications.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of Mac OSX, All Windows operating systems, and the iOS platform.
  • Working knowledge of network securities and protocols, proficient with a wide variety of hardware/software
  • Well organized, detail & customer service oriented & strong problem-solving skills required.
  • Professional in demeanor, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to relate well with employees, staff, and students in all situations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not all inclusive)
  • Oversees the day-to-day delegation and monitoring of technology-related service requests, special projects, and equipment processing for assigned buildings.
  • Communicates building technology issues, news, and updates with internal technology support staff, Instructional Technology Teachers, Building APO, and Director of Technology Services.
  • Prioritizes and monitors the status of all support requests within the assigned school.
  • Ensures that all available support staff resources are efficiently operating and properly assigned to areas/tasks to best assist students and staff as needed.
  • Configure, maintain and support technology hardware for use by students, teachers, and administrative staff that may contain sensitive/confidential information.
  • Inspects device configurations to ensure proper operations within District guidelines.
  • Assists with maintaining asset/software inventory using an online database.
  • Maintains documentation, guides, and specialized maps related to technology support.
  • Uses initiative, tact, and judgment in the completion of administrative requests.
  • Ensures Help Desk & Support Hotline is operational during normal school hours.
  • Oversees the scheduling of Technicians within the assigned school.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving network issues.
  • Responsible for supervising seasonal or part-time workers.
  • Collaborates with staff and peers to research and resolve discovered support-related issues.
  • Responsible for assisting with off-peak hour support projects as needed.
  • May assist with the installation or maintenance of in-ceiling/wall data cables.
  • May be required to climb ladders to work on ceiling-mounted equipment as needed.
  • May be required to lift/transport equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Ability to complete mathematical operations and apply concepts of basic mathematics.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to maintain current job skills as directed, especially in technology-related activities.
  • Ability to perform essential duties with an awareness of school district requirements and Board of Education policies.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. In addition, the ability to withstand long-term use of video display terminals (VDT) is required.
  • The employee may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds such as books or equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The pace of work tasks would be considered as fast.
  • Work is usually conducted at one job site, however, on occasion, this employee will be required to attend meetings, conferences, or workshops and events at other sites as assigned.
