Virtual ASL Instructor - Remote | WFH

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and teach ASL lessons that cater to students with different skill levels and learning styles.
Create curriculum that highlights both ASL and Deaf culture.
Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them succeed.
Organize and facilitate community events to help students connect with the Deaf community.
Stay informed on best practices in ASL instruction and engage in ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in ASL, Deaf Studies, Education, or a related field (preferred). Certification in ASL instruction (e.g., ASLTA certification) is a plus.
Experience: Experience teaching ASL in any setting (classroom, online, or community). Experience working with diverse learners, including children, adults, and students with special needs, is highly valued.

Skills:
Fluency in American Sign Language.
Strong knowledge of Deaf culture and history.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and classroom management.
Comfort with digital tools for online instruction, if applicable.

Compensation:

Starting rate: $40 per hour (negotiable based on experience and qualifications).
