Schedule: Full-Time

Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift

Weekend Rotation: Every Other Weekend

About the Role

MedOp Solutions is partnering with a cardiovascular-focused healthcare facility in Glenbrook, Illinois to hire an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse for a contract assignment.

This role is based on a cardiovascular medical-surgical unit (4 North), where the RN will care for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions. The ideal candidate has strong cardiovascular experience and is comfortable working in a specialized med/surg environment with a full patient assignment.

This opportunity is ideal for nurses who are confident in telemetry and cardiac care and are flexible with floating to other units as needed.

• Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years
• Floating: Required to all units within RN scope; full patient assignment expected

Patient Types

• Cardiovascular medical-surgical patients
• Cardiac monitoring patients
• Post-procedural and general cardiac care patients

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular med/surg patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR
• Float to other units and manage full patient assignments as needed
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license
• BLS certification required
• Must pass EKG/telemetry test
• Minimum 2+ years of cardiovascular or med/surg experience
• Strong cardiac monitoring and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to multiple unit settings

Scheduling & Expectations

• 12-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Floating required across units

Orientation & Onboarding

• Start Date: Within 2 weeks of offer
• Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)
• Credentials Due: Thursday prior to start date
• Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly
