SPED Case Manager
Special Education Teacher (Case Manager)
Location: Chicago, IL
Pay Rate: $55 per hour
Hours per Week: 40
Duration: ASAP through the end of the school year

Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality services to individuals requiring specialized instructional support. This role involves developing, coordinating, and maintaining individualized plans, delivering specialized instruction, and ensuring compliance with all timelines and requirements related to individualized education and accommodation plans.
Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of approximately 95 individuals

Oversee compliance for individualized plans and accommodation plans, including all required timelines

Provide direct specialized instruction and academic support
-
Collaborate with internal staff and service providers to ensure effective implementation of plans
-
Participate in planning meetings, evaluations, progress reviews, and implementation sessions
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with regulatory expectations
-
Fulfill responsibilities within a 40-hour work week (schedule TBD)
Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
-
Valid state teaching certificate as required by applicable regulations
-
At least one year of teaching or instructional experience (preferred)

Preferred certification types:

Standard Elementary Teaching
-
Standard Secondary Teaching
-
Standard Special Teaching
-
Preferred endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)

CPR certification if applicable
-
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray if applicable

Current health certificate as required

Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

Must be at least 18 years old

Adherence to all professional standards of practice
