Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience required License: Active Illinois/IL License Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Skills checklist current to 1 year, supervisor reference forms Description: Registered Nurses in the Intensive Care Unit are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care delivery. They assess the patient's physical and psychosocial status in a comprehensive manner, utilizing age-specific data. They demonstrate accurate assessment skills appropriate to the age of the patient. Ongoing assessments are performed and required documentation is completed within organizational standards. They perform and document observations, physical examinations, laboratory/test results, and patient responses to procedural interventions. Participation in the identification and clarification of patient needs is essential, as evidenced by involvement in multidisciplinary care planning to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Registered Nurses assist other staff in the delivery of patient care, as appropriate. They incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning to promote optimal patient outcomes. About Cynet Health
