We are looking for a highly skilled VP/Director of Finance to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the month-end close process, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately within a five-business-day timeline.
• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including the review of recurring tasks and financial reports.
• Lead and manage audit processes, including both external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with parent company standards.
• Troubleshoot and optimize NetSuite system integrations to improve functionality and resolve issues.
• Develop and implement effective financial controls and narratives to support business growth.
• Manage annual budgeting processes, cash flow forecasts, and financial reporting requirements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to direct and indirect reports, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Drive project management initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and address organizational priorities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment on financial objectives.• A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in managing month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in NetSuite software is required, including experience with troubleshooting and system integrations.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience managing audits, including compliance and review of financial documentation.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and mentor staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes, cash flow forecasts, and financial controls within the real estate industry is a plus.
