We are seeking Global Industrial Engineer - Production Footprint Expansion (based in Elgin, Illinois) to drive global coordination and execution of engineering projects for the start-up of new production lines, building and Global layout planning strategies. Join our team as we assess and expand our Production Footprint globally to ensure we are equipped to partner with our enterprise customers in an effective manner.

HARTING aims to be a trusted advisor to HARTING customers and positions itself as the go-to source expert for industrial connectivity solutions. We partner directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Distribution partners for standard product, designed-in value-added products, and Product Development initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to work in:

  • Project Management:
    • Autonomous execution of projects/control of projects in the Operations Department (Q-C-D) according to standards, processes, tools, and methods.
    • Budget and cost responsibility, deadline tracking, and technical coordination with clients, suppliers, and specialized internal departments within the project.
    • Regular communication within the project team and with clients.
    • Regular exchange and sharing of best practices with Production and Engineering, Technology Experts, and Quality.
    • Project leader for relocation and duplication projects in the region.
  • Production Footprint:
    • Develop and comply with procedures for control and issuance in line with ISO 9000 standards.
    • Relocation and duplication of projects.
    • Production facilities strategy and layout management.
    • Digital factory.
  • Change management
    • Coordination of change request and related KPIs
Must Have Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering in a related industry (electronics / cable)
  • 3+ years of experience in project management.
  • Open to 10%-20% International travel

HARTING USA offers an attractive total compensation package and employee benefits, including:

Compensation

  • HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
  • Competitive base salary: $110,000 - $140,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • This role is eligible for a 10% discretionary annual bonus.
