Mechanical CAD Drafter

American Extrusion International is a global company engaged in the design, development, manufacture, installation and service of Grain Extrusion Equipment and other up/downstream accessories for the Food Industry.

Job Duties

• At least be on the last semester of their Associate degree
• Be able to draw prints to specifications
• Be familiar with the GD&T standards
• Be proactive and self-motivated with interest and capacity to learn
• Be responsible and dedicated to deliver quality work in a timely manner
• Be able to collaborate and communicate with all implied parties
• Be organized and able to create and maintain a documentation system
• Have technical writing capabilities

Responsibilities

• Create prints in 2-D and 3-D as instructed
• Update archived prints when necessary
• Communicate effectively with Shop Supervisor and Design Engineer regarding jobs
• Produce quality work
• Communicate effectively with co-workers when necessary
• Create technical documentation, including but not limited to, operator and service manuals

Qualifications

The successful candidate must:

• Demonstrate ability to use Autodesk Inventor
• Demonstrate basic math skills
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Have an Associates Degree or be in the last semester
• Be organized and take pride on the work
• Be able to work unsupervised following guidelines set by superior.

Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt Salary Range: $45,000 to $65,000 based on experience ($21.63-$31.25/hr)
