We are currently looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Compliance Specialist, this role can be based in our Chicago office or remotely within the US, if not based within reasonable distance to our local US offices. The Impact You Will Have As the Workers Comp Claims Compliance Specialist, you are responsible for making sure that all Workers Compensation related regulatory requirements and changes are communicated and implemented by the North America claims team. You will support both the Global Head of Governance and Integrity as well as the Regional Head of Claims for North America. In addition, you will also support Claims Quality Assurance as it pertains to Workers Compensation Claims Handling and Regulatory Requirements. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: - Regional Claims Compliance - Ensuring all Claims processes and systems in Workers Compensation are compliant.
- Complete required regulatory reporting on a regular basis as dictated by each state. Respond to regulatory data reporting requests as appropriate.
- Assist as a resource to coordinate responses to internal and external auditor requests.
- Regulatory Change Management - Review regulatory requirements and distribute to North America Claims as appropriate.
- Participate in developing revisions or creation of policies, procedures and communication to assure awareness and compliance across the 51 jurisdictions in the US. Determine what needs to be incorporated into the Adjuster Toolkit, Functional Rules for Claims Handling, etc. as it pertains to Workers Compensation.
- Lead development of online and in person training materials and tools for Workers Compensation.
- Claims Approach and Compliance - Ensure Workers Compensation claim handling consistency and discipline through close collaboration with Claims Quality Assurance.
- Support Claims Leadership Team through regular reporting of Compliance focus review results.
- Execute on Focus Reviews to monitor and evidence the compliance with Workers Compensation related topics.
What You'll Bring to the Role: - Bachelor's Degree required.
- 5-7 years' experience in Claims Regulatory Compliance.
- 11+years' experience of Workers Comp claims handling within multiple jurisdictions.
The annualized base pay range for this role is $98,318 to $167,091. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package.
