Senior Manager Supply Chain Finance

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Finance is responsible for a variety of financial duties surrounding the planning, forecasting, analysis and reporting functions for Supply Chain. This role supports the Supply Chain Finance team's goal to be the trusted Finance Business Partner to the Supply Chain Team which includes, periodic reporting of financial results, variance analysis versus plan and prior forecasts, assisting with the annual budget process, data consolidation and special projects. The position partners with members of the Supply Chain team to provide financial guidance and analytics to support key decision making to help ensure that cost savings objectives are achieved, and actively participates in key Finance functional initiatives. Employee Type: Full time Location: IL Oak Brook Job Type: Finance Planning / Analysis Job Posting Title: Senior Manager Supply Chain Finance : Roles & Responsibilities: - Supports the completion and communication of the annual cost savings plan, monthly forecast and periodic financial results reporting.
- Manages the variance forecasting process, maintaining accuracy of reported rates and volumes.
- Provides support of the cost savings tracking.
- Works with the Supply Chain team on new business opportunities and associated financial impacts.
- Ensures understanding and consistent application of cost savings calculations and methodologies.
- Works with Commercial Finance teams to analyze consolidated financial results, providing specific, actionable, and forward-looking commentary on various changes and variances as well as guidance on potential opportunities and risks to the Category financial performance.
- Interacts proactively with key internal customers, including Corporate FP&A, Commercial Finance, various cross functional Finance groups, and Senior Management across Finance.
- Leads other special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as required.
The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list of all tasks. Additional tasks and duties may be assigned from time to time as necessitated by business needs. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA and/or CPA preferred
- 10+ years' experience in financial analysis and data management required, experience within CPG industry preferred
- Experience with P&L management, knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts required
- Experience in SAP strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a dynamic business environment
- Experience leading multiple stage projects from conception to completion
- Proficiency managing and making recommendations for efficiencies with systems and tools, such as SAP, and supporting applications
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work with multiple departments to complete a project or resolve organizational challenges
- Experience in accurately forecasting financials, with an understanding of the key drivers
- Ability to leverage analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate meaningful financial strategies and solutions
- Requires strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of general business concepts
- Strong proficiency in MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Teams) required, SAP and Power BI experience strongly preferred
