Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. Candidates must have strong data engineering capability with proven experience in executing data extractions, migrations, and transformations across enterprise systems.

Rate Range: $75/hour to $76/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Perform data extractions, transformations, migrations across systems such as PeopleSoft, BAAN, and Infor LN.

• Develop and maintain programs and scripts to support accurate, reliable, and scalable data processing.

• Select appropriate tools and technologies to manage technical data workflows effectively.

• Analyze data from multiple sources to ensure consistency, accuracy, and readiness for downstream usage.

• Troubleshoot issues related to data pipelines, integrations, and source‑system inputs.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support data requirements and ensure smooth migration activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, data extraction, and migration activities.

• Must have strong capability in handling data from ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, BAAN, or Infor LN.

• Having proven ability to build and manage data pipelines using appropriate tools to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $76.00 per hour
