Job Description

The batch mixer plays a crucial role in the production process by being cross-trained in raw material pre-batching, blender operation, and blender sanitizing. This position is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient preparation and blending of materials for production.

Responsibilities

• Pick and weigh raw materials accurately.
• Assemble raw materials needed for production into kits.
• Load blenders with raw materials and mix according to batch specifications.
• Package the product into containers.
• Clean and sanitize the blender after each use.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace by adhering to GMP and safety requirements.
• Retrieve raw material kits and place them by the blender.
• Store finished products in designated storage racks.
• Follow all standard operating procedures meticulously.
• Follow instructions from the production coordinator during pre-batching.

Essential Skills

• Batch mixing experience (1-3 years).
• Sit down forklift operation.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in inks or coatings industry preferred.
• Proficiency with compound batch mixing.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Itasca, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
