Title: Collections Analyst

Location : Aurora, Illinois (On-Site)

Assignment Type: 3- month contract with potential for contract-to-hire

Compensation: $28- $32/hour depending on relevant experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor accounts receivable to identify overdue accounts and follow up with customers regarding payment status.
• Contact customers via phone, email, or written correspondence to collect outstanding balances.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, and disputes in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with sales, billing, and customer service teams to address issues impacting collections.
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer communications.
• Prepare and analyze aging reports to track collection efforts and trends.
• Recommend accounts for escalation, legal action, or write-off as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws governing debt collection.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt.

Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's, SUM-IFS)
• 2+ years of experience in collections/accounts receivable,
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
