Position Overview

White Tank & Truck Repair is seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our growing team in Belleville, IL.

We specialize in tank trailer service and repair, including dry bulk and liquid tank systems. This role focuses on trailer diagnostics, structural repair, ABS systems, and component installations.

Compensation

• Entry-Level Technician: $20.61/hour
• Veteran Technician: Up to $34.35/hour
• Performance Increases: Eligible for a 5% wage increase every 6 months
• Skill Premium: Additional $3.00–$3.50/hour available for advanced skill sets
• Overtime: Paid at time-and-a-half
• Annual wage growth opportunities

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on dry bulk and liquid tank trailers.
• Diagnose and repair ABS systems.
• Troubleshoot air leaks and repair brake systems.
• Perform suspension and axle repairs.
• Repair and replace valves, gaskets, and hoses.
• Install and service blowers, pumps, and hydraulic systems as needed.
• Complete welding and structural repairs.
• Perform trailer inspections and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience working on tank trailers preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience troubleshooting ABS systems.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
