Podiatrist
- Assessing and diagnosing foot, ankle, and lower leg problems through physical exams, x rays, medical laboratory tests, and other methods
- Provide treatment for foot, ankle, and lower leg ailments
- Advise, educate, and instruct patients on foot and ankle care and on general wellness techniques to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with other providers and the facility’s interdisciplinary team
- Refer patients to other providers or specialists if you detect larger health problems, such as diabetes or vascular disease
- Prescribing necessary medications and treatments
- Developing and implementing patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitating referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicating with attending physicians and/or specialists regarding patient care
- Be comfortable and proficient with documentation and CPT coding
- A healthy work-life balance and flexibility. No need to work overnight shifts or weekends, however as a Vitae provider, you can always take off days during the week, and work weekends if you’d like.
- High referral volume with earning potential.
- Our Podiatrists are paid a percentage of revenue - the larger your caseload and workload, the more you can earn. More details will be shared during the interview process.
- Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine
- Ability to build rapport with patients and their loved ones
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership experience with emphasis on teamwork in a healthcare setting
