Technical Customer Support Representative (Entry Level)
Job Description
We are seeking a customer-focused Technical Support Representative to provide first-call resolution and high-quality technical assistance to customers via phone and email. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping others, troubleshooting technology issues, and clearly explaining technical concepts in an easy-to-understand way. The position supports software-related products and requires strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-call technical support to customers via telephone and email , regardless of product type or issue complexity
- Deliver professional, friendly, and solution-oriented customer service on every interaction
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software-related issues, including:
- Product functionality
- Connectivity issues
- Application errors or failures
- Clearly communicate technical solutions and instructions to customers in simple, non-technical language
- Accurately document all customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the CRM system
- Participate in product testing, version updates, and new product rollouts
- Collaborate with team members to:
- Share knowledge and best practices
- Brainstorm solutions for complex customer issues
- Proactively communicate recurring issues and resolutions across teams
- Follow established support processes while continuously improving customer experience
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (call center experience strongly preferred)
- Basic experience with:
- Help desk support, or
- Building or configuring computers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly communicate in English
- Comfortable navigating a Windows environment
- Familiarity with installing and troubleshooting basic Windows applications
- Ability to explain technical processes step by step to non-technical users
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience using Command Prompt
- Exposure to IT training, Geek Squad–style support, or entry-level IT environments

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ROSEMONT, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
