We are hiring at part time cook to join our team. every other weekend availability needed as well as 16 hours during the week.

About the Role:

As a Cook at High Point Residence Taylorville, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our residents. You will work closely with our dietary team to ensure that all meals are nutritious, delicious, and meet the dietary needs of our residents. Your attention to detail and passion for cooking will be essential in creating a positive dining experience for our residents. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety guidelines and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and regulations
• Ability to read and follow recipes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting
• Experience with menu planning and ordering inventory
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals for residents according to dietary needs and preferences
• Collaborate with dietary team to plan menus and ensure nutritional requirements are met
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety guidelines and regulations
• Assist with special events and catering as needed
