What You’ll Do:

• Perform a diverse range of duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment in accordance with safety standards and preventive maintenance protocols.
• Develop detailed work instructions to enhance preventative maintenance systems and procedures.
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric multimeters, and proficiency with computer systems to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized services and oversee parts procurement and inventory management.
• Assist in training maintenance staff and operators to foster a knowledgeable and responsive work team.
• Plan and schedule preventive and unscheduled maintenance tasks, prioritizing work based on operational needs.
• Conduct inspections, listen to machinery sounds, and visually identify malfunctions, ensuring early detection and resolution of issues.
• Perform emergency repairs during production and scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Support facility maintenance such as patching, painting, and structural repairs as needed.
• Occasionally use personal vehicle for work-related travel.

Required Skills:

• Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Experience operating a wide range of hand and power tools.
• Proficiency with computer systems and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, manuals, and technical documents.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities, especially when working with vendors and team members.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of electronics fundamentals and hydraulic systems.
• Experience developing maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• 5+ years’ maintenance experience, with substitution of relevant experience for formal education preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Previous experience performing maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and schematics.
• Willingness to work flexible hours or respond to emergencies as needed.
• Valid driver’s license for potential travel between job sites.
