Prep Cook
Beatnik On The River / Good Funk is looking for a Prep Cook to keep our kitchen running smoothly by preparing ingredients, sauces, and components to our quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to a clean, organized workspace.
Responsibilities:
Prep, portion, and label ingredients following recipes and prep lists
Maintain freshness and quality of all food items
Keep prep areas clean, sanitized, and organized
Rotate and store stock properly (FIFO method)
Communicate with the team to ensure smooth service
Follow all food safety and workplace safety procedures
Requirements:
1+ year prep cook experience preferred
Basic knife skills; food handler & allergen certification required
Must be available Mondays & Sundays (open availability preferred)
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Pay: Hourly, based on experience
Schedule: Early mornings and holidays. Must have Monday & Sunday availability, open availability preferred.
