We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Assistant to join our team in Schaumburg, IL.

The IT Assistant will play an important role in providing technical support to CKD USA staff. This position involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues while assisting the IT Administrator to ensure employees have the necessary technology resources to perform their roles effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is eager to gain experience in IT support within a collaborative and multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to support requests via email and phone from staff requiring assistance with computers, printers, desk phones, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist in setting up new employee accounts, user access, and necessary software and drives based on job functions.
  • Configure, prepare, and maintain computers and related equipment for new hires.
  • Install and update software applications as required.
  • Document, track, and monitor technical support requests and resolutions using appropriate tools.
  • Maintain and manage user accounts and groups in Active Directory.
  • Assist with maintaining Duo multi-factor authentication settings.
  • Collaborate with the IT Administrator to ensure all IT services and resources are optimized and functioning efficiently.
  • Demonstrate a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with colleagues and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other IT-related tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s degree or certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 1 year of prior experience in an office environment or working with computers is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Server 2016/2019 and Azure environments is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an openness to learning new technologies.
  • Prior experience working in an international or multicultural environment is an advantage.
