Associate Attorney

You will handle a full litigation caseload with the support of a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle and manage personal injury files from filing through trial
• Work up litigation files from filing the lawsuit through discovery, depositions, and trial
• Willingness and ability to regularly interact with clients, adjusters, staff, and other lawyers
• Successfully lead a litigation team of 5+ people
• Litigate cases from beginning to end
• Demonstrate strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
• Experience supervising and managing other team members
• Pre-litigation case management and negotiation experience
• Experience handling cases involving commercial motor vehicles
• Willingness to expand knowledge of trucking litigation and obtain board certification in truck accident law
• Willing to work independently while remaining accountable

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school
• Current member in good standing with the Illinois Bar
• Minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Trial experience preferred
• Commercial case experience a plus
• Experience litigating trucking and other commercial motor vehicle cases a plus. xrczosw
