V2V is seeking a candidate with experience in promotional medical communications to serve as Program Manager on our Client Services team in Chicago, IL. The Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing day-to-day tasks associated with the completion and delivery of multiple client projects. Candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience in program/project management specific to medical communications within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.

The Program Manager assists account leaders in providing clients with the highest quality medical communications services. Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with account leaders on all assigned client projects in line with project specifications
  • Implementing work plans and monitoring/managing the day-to-day activities in assigned accounts
  • Interacting and consulting with team members to meet project deadlines
  • Developing budget estimates for assigned projects
  • Modifying schedules, budgets, and project plans as needed
  • Communicating, both in prepared status reports, and verbally, with clients related to project progress and changes in direction
  • Coordinating the logistical components of both onsite and offsite dinner programs including speaker recruitment, invitation development, procuring venue, selecting menus, arranging audiovisual equipment, arranging travel, processing payments, and financial reconciliation of programs
  • Interacting with physicians and other health care professionals to recruit and manage their participation in program components
  • Communicating with vendors to ensure that project components are progressing on schedule, within budget, and at client expectation
  • Fostering a working relationship with assigned clients to position V2V as a continued business partner
  • Developing an understanding of the client’s market, product profile, therapeutic area, competitors, and trends to assist in proposal development

Skill Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree
  • Strengths should include good customer service, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
  • At least 2 years’ post-college working experience
  • Proven project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Occasional travel required
  • Meeting Planner experience is helpful
