Project Management Support Specialist
job summary:
PMO Support specialist opportunity with our heavy industrial client located in the Morris, IL area. In this critical role, you will provide essential project support to include managing project documentation, assisting with procurement and financial processes and maintaining data integrity across project systems . You will assist in managing forecasting, documentation and creating reports using MS Office, SAP, and Ariba, ensuring all capital projects run smoothly.

responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to the PMO and CapEx team, including managing project documentation, correspondence, and meeting coordination.
- Generate and distribute regular and ad-hoc project reports using MS Excel and SAP to track project status, budgets, and timelines.
- Assist the team with procurement and financial processes within SAP and Ariba, such as tracking purchase orders and processing invoices.
- Prepare presentation materials, memos, and project updates for stakeholders using MS PowerPoint and Word.
- Maintain data integrity across project systems, assisting with data entry and ensuring documentation adheres to company standards.
- Proven experience in a project support, PMO, or high-level support role, preferably in an industrial, chemical, or engineering environment.
- High proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Hands-on experience with SAP (PM, FICO, or MM modules) is required.
- Demonstrable experience using Ariba or a similar procurement system.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
