About the Role

Our Chicago plant is one of our Foundational Technologies plants, focused on the production of food preservation and protection technology (vinegar). This is a first shift role with hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and very limited weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Execute the production schedule efficiently to meet operational goals and customer expectations.

Build and maintain a high-performing production team through training, coaching, and development.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and Kerry's internal standards.

Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.

Manage the production department within established budget parameters.

Foster a positive work environment that promotes continuous improvement and employee engagement.

Partner with the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) officer to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure products meet quality and specification standards.

Identify and implement strategies to minimize production losses and downtime.

Ensure food safety programs are effectively implemented and followed.

Monitor and manage performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or other technical discipline (Associate's degree considered in combination with 7 years of relevant people leadership experience).

5-7 years of people/production leadership experience, within a union manufacturing environment, is required.

Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and processes.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Problem solving skills, ability to quickly adapt to unforeseen situations.

Ability to climb mezzanine stairs to access process equipment and computer interface points, lift loads up to 50#.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. The position frequently requires the ability to hear and to communicate verbally.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $64,479 - $105,272 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
