rRESPONSIBILITIES: The main purpose of this position is to handle the

billing and in-house collection efforts for the third-party billing process, while complying with all governing regulations. This responsibility includes maintaining and reconciling the Billing and Receivable System and the Federal Perkins System. This position is also responsible for research and interpretation of federal, state, and university regulations regarding Federal Perkins Loan Receivables and third-party billing.

WORK LOCATION: Macomb campus

APPOINTMENT: As soon as possible

HOURLY WAGE: \$18.79 - \$20.67 (Anticipated starting salary \$18.79)

This position is represented by AFSCME Local 417.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the categories below:

A. Course work in accounting, as measured by the following conversion

table or its proportional equivalent:

*9 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)

B. Course work in any discipline as measured by the following conversion

table or its proportional equivalent:

*30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)

*Associate\'s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen (18) months

*90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)

C. Work experience in bookkeeping, office support, or closely related

experience.

*For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally

accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). The degree must be conferred at the time of application.*
