Radiology X-Ray Technologist Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel healthcare job
• Location: Springfield, Illinois (62781) – Illinois radiology jobs
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: November or early December)
• Facility: Acute Care Hospital, Level I Trauma Center
• Shifts: 5x8-hour evening shifts (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2150
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• On-call: Required as needed
• Scrub Color: Any solid color
• Charting System: Cerner
• Parking: Free with permit

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an X-Ray Technologist
• Active ARRT certification (Radiologic Technologist)
• Active Illinois state radiology license
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Experience in Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, and Operating Room
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Active license required at time of application (pending licenses not accepted)

Radiology X-Ray Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of X-Ray procedures: abdomen (decubitus, supine/KUB, upright), chest (AP, lateral decubitus, routine, upper airway), head (facial bones, orbits, paranasal sinuses, skull, TMJ), spine and pelvis (cervical, lumbar, thoracic, sacrum/coccyx, pelvis, hip), upper and lower extremities (ankle, femur, foot, knee, tibia-fibula, clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, scapula, shoulder, trauma shoulder/humerus, wrist)
• Operate O-ARM and C-Arm equipment for mobile and surgical radiology procedures
• Provide diagnostic imaging in ED/Trauma, OR, inpatient, ICU, outpatient, fluoroscopy, and portable settings
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and records using Cerner
• Participate in on-call rotation and work every other weekend as scheduled
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
