Supply Chain and Operations Manager

Milescraft is an established, privately-held company that designs, develops, manufactures, and distributes consumer goods products. Our products are available at leading big box retail stores and online retail sites as well as specialty hardware and woodworking stores. We are looking for local, Chicagoland-based candidates only.

Responsibilities:

• Domestic and overseas vendor relationship management. Work with engineering to set up new factories in East Asia.
• Responsible for production schedules, procurement, inventory management and optimization, logistics, product quality, scrap and rework.
• Work with sales and marketing teams to ensure that supply and inventory support growth objectives as well as promotions.
• Work with suppliers to reduce lead times, improve quality, and negotiate cost efficiencies.
• Manage and modernize current facility in Rockford, IL., and establish and manage distribution facility in Europe when necessary.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting, including KPIs and other performance metrics, to management team as well as owners.
• On-site QC inspection / quality control in Rockford and at factories.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirements.
• Work will be performed in Rockford (2-3 days) and Elgin (2-3 days). Travel 10-20% (Europe and/or China).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business.
• 5+ years progressive experience working directly with overseas factories
• 10+ years progressive experience in supply chain management
• Deep knowledge of ERP systems and EDI
• Analyical and detail-oriented
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate individuals to perform beyond their comfort zone
• Proficient in Microsoft office tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1.00 - $150,000.00 per year
