The Opportunity The Sales Development Manager role is a strategic partner to the Sales Team at LG Ad Solutions. This position plays a key role in translating customer advertising objectives into data-driven and effective sellable solutions in the pre-sale process. This key team member is integral in helping the sales team package and sell through strategic solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. This individual will have a passion for pre-sale efforts and advertising sales and will be closely aligned with other sales team members and cross-functional groups. This position requires strong communication skills, a winning can-do attitude and strong attention to detail, in a constantly changing environment. Responsibilities- Work alongside the Sales Team and the Marketing team to collaborate on the creation of client facing pre sale collateral: from client presentations to RFP decks that can be delivered as complete solutions achieving all client needs; partner with marketing and research teams to pull information and ensure sales collateral provides strong rationale
- Conduct research and track competitive information and market/industry knowledge on a weekly basis for designated clients
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to identify opportunities for betas, new offerings and support GTM efforts
- Collaborate with Ad Sales Team on new business sales presentations and QBRs, thoughtful & creative proposals, and custom ideation, including leading the charge on upsells in partnership with the AM Team
- Lead all internal pre-sale RFP brainstorms and be able to sell through the rationale of each campaign recommendation for Sales to deliver to the client. Lead with rationale grounded in research and data to ensure it achieves client marketing objectives
- Be comfortable presenting insights, data & campaign metrics during client meetings and/or QBRs in partnership with the Sales/AM Team
- Partner with all cross-functional pod members, especially Account Managers to ensure that the proposed campaign elements identified in pre sale are being accurately delivered on
- Work hand-in-hand with Events and Marketing team to act as the liaison with designated AE’s to help organize major client presentations or thought-leadership events
- Provide support to and complete additional projects as directed by AE/Sales Management; Support the pitch process tailored to client needs and client meetings
- Serve as the lead POC for advertiser/ad agency relationships pre-sale efforts, inclusive of, but not limited to: understanding client’s marketing objectives, preparing the RFP response in partnership with Sales/Marketing /Account Management , maintaining SFDC records, driving strategy, requesting mocks, collateral (research & marketing) and requesting internal approvals
- 7+ years experience in client services or sales support at an ad tech company or media planning at an agency
- RFP, pre-sale experience required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong collaboration, lead creative brainstorms and proactive client engagement
- Ability to analyze data and tell a compelling story
- Self starter, comfortable working in fast-paced, growing environment
- An analytical, creative, deadline-driven, and process-oriented personality
- Strong project management skills
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Google Slides and Salesforce
