Blender/Batchmaker 1st & 2nd Shifts
Job Title: Blend/Batch Maker – Packaging
Location: Columbia, IL
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $20.00–$20.75 per hour
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday–Thursday)
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM (Monday–Thursday)
The Blend/Batch Maker is responsible for safely batching chemicals, operating equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Batch chemicals according to quality and safety standards
- Label and fill drums, tanks, and tank trucks using pumps and hoses
- Complete manufacturing paperwork and checklists accurately
- Operate a forklift
- Maintain clean and organized blending areas
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Perform assigned tasks, including food safety responsibilities when required
- At least 1 year experience as batch maker/blender
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and write in English
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working around chemicals
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to wear required safety equipment (respirator, gloves, acid suit, goggles, steel-toed boots)
- May be required to work outdoors
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
