Confidential Client – Low Voltage Construction
Position Overview
Responsible for overall project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and performance standards. This role spans the full lifecycle of project management including estimating, risk identification, planning and scheduling, cost control, contract administration, communication, and safety management.
Core Responsibilities
Project Estimating & Bidding
- Prepare accurate cost and schedule estimates, identifying risks and scope gaps.
- Advise leadership on bid strategy and project risk exposure.
- Communicate gray areas and potential financial impacts prior to project award.
Project Planning & Execution
- Define project objectives, performance requirements, and execution strategies.
- Develop implementation plans including manpower loading schedules and key milestones.
- Create work plans and revise as project conditions evolve.
- Select project team members and assign responsibilities.
- Ensure construction activities adhere to established schedules.
Financial & Cost Management
- Manage project budgets and perform project accounting functions.
- Track expenses and minimize financial exposure and risk.
- Maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Resource & Procurement Management
- Optimize utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Coordinate procurement to ensure cost-effective sourcing.
Change & Risk Management
- Identify project risks and manage mitigation strategies through documentation and communication.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage change orders.
- Identify design or construction elements that may lead to disputes or claims.
- Manage dispute resolution with General Contractors or end users.
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, partners, and internal teams.
- Coordinate all project participants to ensure alignment.
- Conduct regular progress meetings and provide status updates.
- Review team deliverables prior to client submission.
Quality & Safety Oversight
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.
- Conduct weekly construction site inspections.
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation.
Project Closeout
- Complete required project documentation.
- Conduct post-project reviews (postmortems) to evaluate performance and identify improvements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing low voltage construction projects.
- RCDD certification preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of EIA/TIA standards.
Communication Skills
- Strong verbal communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Effective written documentation and record-keeping skills.
Mathematical Proficiency
- Competent in basic calculations including percentages and ratios.
Computer Proficiency
- Database and contact management software
- Financial software systems
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Email and internet tools

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Working Conditions
- Primarily office and construction site environments.
- Frequent field presence required.
