Food Supplier Compliance & Quality Specialist
Location: Woodridge, IL (Onsite)
Compensation: $70,000 + Benefits
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Early Day Shift
About the Role
A leading multi-division food company is expanding and looking for a Food Supplier Compliance & Quality Specialist to oversee supplier approval processes and ensure regulatory compliance across a high-volume product portfolio.
This role plays a key part in maintaining food safety standards and strengthening supplier relationships across domestic and international markets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee supplier compliance with FDA, FSMA, FSVP, and USDA standards
- Perform risk assessments and hazard analysis
- Manage supplier onboarding and ongoing performance evaluations
- Conduct documentation reviews, audits, and verification activities
- Handle supplier escalations and corrective action plans
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for compliance and quality initiatives
- Assist with audit preparation and regulatory inspections
- Maintain accurate supplier records and compliance documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related discipline
- 3–5+ years of experience in food safety, QA, or supplier quality
- Certifications: HACCP, PCQI, FSVP (preferred/required depending on experience)
- Strong understanding of U.S. food regulations and compliance frameworks
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with global/import suppliers
- Familiarity with supplier compliance platforms or ERP systems
- Multi-site or distribution environment experience
