Radiation Therapist - Oncology - Days
Hourly Pay Range: $37.47 - $58.08 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
Position : Radiation Therapist, Oncology
Location : Evanston Hospital - Evanston, IL
Full Time | 40 hours/week
Hours : Monday-Friday, starting at 7:30am - 4:00pm, no weekend or holidays, on call once every 2 months
Required Travel : Swedish, Glenbrook, and Highland Park Hospital as needed
What you will do:
Simulates treatment set-ups, performs dosimetric calculation, and accurately delivers ionizing radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist while working under general supervision of the System Manager, Radiation Oncology.
Assists in patient care and management.
Adheres to clinical, technical and operational policies and procedures.
What you will need:
Education : Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program, required .
Certification : At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology Therapy) certification. Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered within one year of start date into position.
Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association, required .
License : IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure, required .
Experience : previous experience with Varian equipment and previous experience with ARIA EMR, preferred .
