A Manufacturing Company In Aurora, IL is seeking Experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join their team!

FULL TIME 1st Shift Opportunity!!

Business Need / Purpose of Role:

Must have skills for machine/equipment Set-up, adjust and operate plant equipment according with approved specifications, drawings, and other related SOPs. Furthermore you will complete equipment documentation records as required, and write and perform preventive maintenance (PM).

Objectives & Measurement Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:

• Must have basic mechanical knowledge of machine operation (2D, 3D, press break, kuris, etc.)

• Familiar with machine repair using blueprints and instructions to replace fixtures, gauges and parts

• Adjust machines for production as needed

• Able to support in the installation of new equipment including hook up of electrical power, gas, water, air, etc.

• Maintain and install piping, fittings, valves, gauges, and other controls for hydraulic systems, gas, and air lines

• Ability to read schematics and blueprints

• Support machines for production when adjustment is beyond the scope of the operator

• Trouble shoot machinery electrical components

• Understand required instruments/parts to troubleshoot based on machine errors

• Ability to plan and lay out work, to determine accuracy and efficiency methods and diagnoses while correcting difficulties to minimize production interruptions

• Works with contractors and vendors

• Restores repaired area by cleaning debris/waste and practicing 5S

• Makes rounds for inspection to make sure equipment is being properly utilized and unaltered standards

• Observes equipment appearance and condition and makes reports of needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor or services

• Other duties as needed/required to meet goals

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

-Five years’ experience in mechanical repair

-Experience with metal fabrication

-Ability to effectively read and interpret blueprints

-Perform tasks with limited or no supervision

-Maintains accuracy and attention to detail always and completes tasks in a timely manner

-Knowledge of dimensional, visual, and mechanical processes

-Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking and understanding)

-Critical thinker with basic mechanical skills and no physical limitations for lifting, pushing, and pulling

-Positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

-Proactive and detail-oriented approach to work

-Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

-Mechanical skills and electrical repair knowledge.

-Working experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical (480v), and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment

-Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

-Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.

-PLC experience is a plus

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

-High school diploma or equivalent required

-Ability to make quick decisions

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

-Ability to read, analyze, interpret documents, and respond to common inquiries or complaints.

-Ability to write and communicate effectively with team members and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

-Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

-Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND WORK AIDS:

Accurate use of metrology instruments. Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. Operate electronic inspection equipment and software. Perform data entry and information retrieval using Microsoft Office and other software.
