HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

• Manage the day-to-day accounting functions-GL, A/R, bank reconciliations, and payroll; supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes; Prepare GAAP compliant financial statements and prepare financial results for investors and banks as required.
• Work with project managers to ensure accuracy of job costs, work-in-progress (WIP), and project profitability.
• Assist in the development of budgets, prepare variance analysis, and collaborate with PMs on budget tracking, and cost forecasting.
• Support Construction Manager when communicating with lender for construction loan draws; ensure construction loans are paid timely and accurately.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including tax filings, licensing, and labor laws.
• Liaise with external auditors and prepare audit schedules.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

ABOUT YOU!

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA a plus.
• 5 or more years' accounting experience; 2+ years of which include RE/project accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, and construction billing including retainage and AIA.
• Proficient with QuickBooks Online and Excel; experience with Sage and Bill.com a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Salary Range:

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including internal equity, market data, the candidate's qualifications- including but not limited to specialty skills, prior relevant industry experience, relevant degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, MBA). The salary range estimate below is inclusive of all departments within the firm, and offered salaries may vary within the given range between departments. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this level is $75,000 - $80,000 annualized, not including other competitive benefits.
