Shift: 7PM - 7AM Pay rate: $19.07 Shift Differential: $3.00

Job Title: Hoist Operator 2

• Complete company-provided training for powered industrial trucks
• Drive forklift equipped with lifting devices such as fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch
• Push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move raw paper materials, in-process products, finished products, equipment, or materials in warehouse, storage yard, or factory
• Move materials and equipment using an overhead rail crane or operate a rail car mover such as a track mobile.
• Load and unload semi-trailer trucks
• Maintain accurate inventory and report any discrepancies
• Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device
• Perform safety checks on lifts.
• Perform safety check and light maintenance as required - lubricate truck, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank, or replace the liquefied-gas tank
• Responsible for inventory control, tracking and reporting inventory utilizing a materials management system.
• Organize and assign storage space utilized in warehousing and moving materials in the departments.
• Share your expertise and help train other employees as assigned
• Other responsibilities as required

• Must know how high, wide, and long the fork lift truck and its load are, and how much the fork lift truck can lift
• Ability to identify how high and wide a doorway and an aisle must be to drive the fork lift truck and its load; how high and wide the shelf, bin, etc., must be able to place the load; and how high the load must be lifted to reach the shelf or bin
• Skilled in moving fork lift trucks about in places where there is very little room to stack or remove loads
• Must be skilled in handling controls for starting, stopping, backings, and driving fork lift trucks through narrow aisles in building, up and down ramps, and in and out of railroad cars, trucks, etc.; and, for lifting, lowering, and tilting forks by moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate controls
• Must be able to recognize whether the fork lift truck is able to lift the load and whether the load is properly balanced

Knowledge/ Experience

• Must have at least 3 years of experience operating a forklift with clamp attachments in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Knowledge of safe operating procedures for power industrial trucks
• Knowledge of weight capacities, balancing product, and height thresholds
• Experience relocating, picking material in narrow aisles, moving material up / down ramps, and unloading product from transportation vehicles

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Pay Disclosure Statement

The pay for this role at the noted location is $19.07 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include [a sign-on bonus of, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
