This role is an Axle Housing Design Engineer in the Drivetrain Castings Component Team. Tasks will be directed by a Senior Engineer on the team and include concept modeling, stress & life analysis, assessing part nonconformance risk, amongst others. Typical task breakdown:
- Concept design and part modeling using Creo.
- Stress & life analysis
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience
- Proficient in Creo
- Understands basic geometric tolerancing
- Proficient in Creo Simulate FEA
- Experience in steel or iron casting design
- APQP knowledge
- Practical / hands-on experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
