We are currently seeking a bold and detailed candidate to fill the position of Customer Advocate in our Elk Grove Village, IL office. HFO Chicago is a division of the Morris Group Inc., one of the largest Machine Tool Distributors in North America. Job Responsibilities

  • Managing various order processing channels and updating customers throughout the order process
  • Receiving calls from customers, processing orders, and providing answers to standard inquiries
  • Handling logistics and coordination for freight and rigging activities as necessary
  • RMA Support
  • Work with the accounting team for payment processing and follow-up on collections as necessary
  • Assisting Sales Engineers in proposal generation; follow up as necessary
  • Filing and releasing all necessary UCC1’s
  • Possessing and maintaining a basic knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company
  • Oversite of Office Supplies and Functionality.

Job Qualifications and Proficiencies:

  • Proven experience in a customer facing role.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Experience with process management and improvement
  • Previous experience working as an administrator within a sales organization
  • Ability to use independent judgment and decision-making skills to identify best methods for order processing and resolving customer issues and requests
  • MS Office Experience – Prefer Strong MS Excel Skills
  • Salesforce (preferred but not required)
  • QuoteWorks (preferred but not required)
  • Experience providing customer support, both phone and email
  • Ability to follow standard to sophisticated written and verbal instructions such as bills of materials and shipping documents, or equivalent
