Purchasing Associate - M Holland

Purpose This position is responsible for driving the purchase order process between our internal teams and designated material supplies while maintaining a collaborative relationship and ensuring all internal parties are able to successfully service our customers. Areas of Responsibility / Tasks Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below. 1. Purchase Order (PO) Entry & Maintenance a. Responsible for entering purchase orders in M Holland's proprietary Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in a timely manner while ensuring purchase order pricing and dates are accurate. Also performs order entry for both back-to-back orders as well as inventory stock b. Performs daily review of open purchase order reports to ensure (Estimate Time Arrival) ETA's are updated with the most up to date information and provides communication status to necessary parties/stakeholders c. Ensures accuracy of purchase order pricing to prevent invoice discrepancies and completing any necessary corrections in a timely manner to ensure invoices are paid by the assigned due date d. Responsible for the creation of production orders and material transfers e. Confirms accuracy of quantity and lots to make the sales order available for invoicing f. Actively participates in daily management meetings to measure and take actions on metrics/KPI's g. Builds strong working relationships with Suppliers to ensure seamless communication of information to provide the best possible experience for our customers 2. Back up Support a. May serve as a back-up to other purchasing team members at the same or above level as needed b. Responsible for the tracking and tracing of Rail Cars (RC) inbound to warehouses to ensure there are no significant delays during transit and reviewing RC's placed at warehouses and at customer locations to prevent detention and demurrage charges from suppliers 3. All other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities 1. Ability to quickly learn, detailed oriented with an ability to prioritize 3. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Adobe 4. Manage and organize time, information and resources effectively to meet deadlines and respond to requests on a timely basis Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications 1. Education: a. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree 2. Experience: a. 2 years of previous experience in a similar role required b. Experience with Purchasing, Supply Chain or a related field is highly desired 3. Licenses / Certifications: a. Valid driver's license - required 4. Language: a. Proficiency in English required Work Environment / Conditions The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore 1. Must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office. 2. This position is a hybrid in-office and work-from-home role 3. May be required to travel to office locations in the USA as well as other countries based on the businesses involved in e-commerce sales Physical Requirements / Demands The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions & physical demands of this role. 1. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to communicate verbally, read, and comprehend information, type on a consistent and daily basis. 2. Push, pull, and lift to 40lbs on a weekly basis. 3. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to travel by foot, car, bus, airplane, or other means of transportation which require sitting, waiting, and standing for long and short periods of time. 4. Ability to setup desk equipment including setting up equipment on top of desks and connecting cables and power cords under desk (requiring lifting, bending, pushing, pulling). Annual base salary/hourly rate: - $65,000 - $78,000 (DOE) + Bonus eligibility
