THE ROLE
The Channel Sales Associate is responsible for generating new business through CPA referral partnerships and direct outreach to small business owners.
This position blends relationship management, prospecting, field sales, and consultative selling. The ideal candidate will partner with CPA firms and local business owners to identify payroll and HR solutions that enhance efficiency and support long-term business success.
This hybrid, field-based role requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with CPA referral partners
- Generate and cultivate new business opportunities
- Conduct both in-person and virtual client meetings
- Present payroll and HR technology solutions
- Prospect within an assigned territory
- Maintain pipeline activity and forecasting in Salesforce
- Track sales activity and achieve performance goals
- Develop strong relationships with small business owners
- Partner with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and client satisfaction
- Stay informed on product updates and industry developments
THE QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of B2B sales experience preferred
- Experience working toward sales quotas
- Comfortable prospecting and creating new business opportunities
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable in a field-based sales role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SaaS, payroll, HCM, staffing, telecom, merchant services, insurance, or banking
- Experience using CRM platforms, including Salesforce
- Recent graduates of sales-focused programs are encouraged to apply
- Strong presentation skills and professional presence
THE BENEFITS
- $57,000 base salary
- $30,000 target variable compensation at 100% quota attainment
- Approximately $500/month vehicle and mobile phone reimbursement after training
