Part-Time Development Coordinator - Major Gifts

Position Summary

The Part-Time Development Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the organization’s philanthropic efforts by supporting major gifts, corporate giving, third-party fundraisers, and event sponsorships. This position works closely with the Executive Director and development team and also assists with event logistics as fundraising events approach. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, organized, and comfortable balancing donor engagement with hands-on support.

Key Responsibilities:

Major Gifts & Corporate Giving

• Assist in identifying, cultivating, and stewarding major gift prospects and donors
• Support corporate giving initiatives, including sponsorships and partnerships
• Help prepare donor materials, proposals, and follow-up communications
• Maintain accurate donor records and track engagement activities

Third-Party Fundraisers

• Serve as a liaison for community-led and third-party fundraising efforts
• Provide guidance, materials, and support to third-party fundraisers
• Ensure alignment with organizational branding and fundraising goals

Event Sponsorship & Fundraising Support

• Assist with securing and managing event sponsorships
• Support sponsor stewardship, recognition, and fulfillment
• Help coordinate donor and sponsor communications related to events

Event Logistics & Support

• Provide logistical support for fundraising events as they approach
• Assist with timelines, vendor coordination, materials, and on-site needs
• Support post-event follow-up, including donor acknowledgements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in fundraising, development, sales, or relationship-based roles (nonprofit experience preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency with donor databases/CRMs and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Ability to work some evenings or weekends as needed for events

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with major gifts, corporate sponsorships, or event fundraising
• Familiarity with nonprofit donor stewardship best practices
• Passion for mission-driven work and community impact
