Description

We are seeking a contract Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our clients Automation team to design mechanism for in house production! This is a great contract opportunity with flexibility with a premier company and an excellent work environment. The initial contract/project will be 3-6 months but could be longer and could also lead to more project work in the future!

Candidate will be partnering with Project Engineers to support design and drafting work on the projects.

Primary focus will be on mechanism and tooling design, but may also support different equipment components when needed. All design/drafting work will be for custom automated equipment (primarily assembly or packaging equipment).

Required Qualifications:

• No degree required for this role, but an Associates in CAD would be preferred.
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience designing mechanisms for manufacturing. Not just a single part.
• Experience working with manual machining using mills, lathes and etc will be very helpful.
• Tooling design experience
• SolidWorks experience would be a plus but open to any 3D CAD package

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
