Machine repair technician

MDMartin Staffing is currently looking for Entry Level Machine Repair Technician with 1-2 years of experience.

Job Summary

The Machine Repair Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and Repair : Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues in machinery and equipment.
• Preventive Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment failures and extend machinery lifespan.
• Equipment Installation : Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new machinery and systems.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
• Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols, including OSHA standards, to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaboration : Work closely with production teams and other technicians to coordinate repairs and minimize disruptions to operations.
• Parts Management : Order and manage spare parts and tools to ensure availability for repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience : Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in machine repair or industrial maintenance.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of PLCs, CNC machines, and welding is a plus.
• Certifications : Preferred to have a Technical Certification
• Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to [50 lbs], stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.

Work Environment

• Full-time position with [specify hours, e.g., 40 hours/week, shift work, or on-call availability].
• Work may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, and industrial environments.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and required.

Benefits

• Hourly Payrate is starting $19.00-$20.00 per hour, increase is eligible based on your performance and attendance with the company.
