A leading international law firm is seeking an Energy Finance Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing lenders, private equity sponsors, investors, and energy companies in sophisticated financing transactions involving the energy and natural resources sectors.

• 3–6 years of finance, banking, energy finance, project finance, or commercial finance experience

• Experience representing lenders, borrowers, private equity sponsors, investors, or energy companies in sophisticated financing transactions

• Experience with secured lending, acquisition financings, leveraged finance, syndicated credit facilities, and other complex debt transactions

• Experience involving the energy, infrastructure, natural resources, renewable energy, or power sectors is preferred

• Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security documents, commitment letters, and related financing documentation

• Working knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code and secured lending concepts

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to work directly with clients and assume significant responsibility

• Excellent academic credentials

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
