Litigation Attorney-Labor and Employment (Senior Associate)
St. Louis, MO or Chicago, IL
Premier, national, law firm is seeking an experienced Labor Attorney to join its St. Louis or Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have experience with a broad range of labor matters related to representing and counseling employers and will have experience with collective bargaining negotiation, union elections, strikes, picketing, campaigns, unfair labor practice cases before the NLRB, and other conflicts between management and labor unions.

Required Education
- Juris Doctor
Required Licenses and/or Certifications
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of Illinois or Missouri; must maintain applicable license renewal and CLE requirements
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm. Candidates who have extensive experience with a broad range of labor matters related to representing and counseling employers on labor matters and will have experience with collective bargaining, union elections, strikes, picketing, campaigns, litigation of unfair labor practice cases before the NLRB and other conflicts between management and labor unions.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Indirect-actively utilizes support staff or junior associates to ensure client satisfaction
Physical Activity
- The employee will be required to sit (or utilize a standing desk) for prolonged periods and work on a computer
Travel Required
- Generally less than 10%, however, this will be case specific and may, at times, involve more travel.

Compensation
Highly competitive dependent on experience and ranges are fluid depending on experience, areas of expertise, licenses, etc.
Chicago Range: $240,000.00-$300,000.00, plus bonus.
