POSITION TITLE: Materials Cycle Counter

FUNCTION: 1st shift Full-Time

LOCATION: Hanover Park, IL

1st Shift: 6:00am-2:00pm M-F

Pay Rate : $20-$21

Position Summary:

The Matreials Cycle counter is responsible for conducting physical inventory counts of product. They work to resolve any variances between physical and actual counts. The Materials Cycle Counter trouble shoots possible receiving, transaction, Bill of Material (BOM), routing, or picking errors and researches ways to eliminate the problems causing variance. This individual also uses a forklift regularly and must have previous experience on powered equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain inventory accuracy to improve inventory turns
• Help maintain Kanban replenishment systems as directed
• Have working knowledge of how to operate power industrial equipment, specifically standing reach forklifts
• Identify and implement root cause of inventory inaccuracies and help implement corrective actions opportunities
• Utilize a warehouse management system to review inventory data
• Work closely with the Operations and Purchasing departments to ensure a resolution to inventory errors in a timely manner
• Operate a RF smart scanner
• Assist Production Scheduled with maintaining JD Edwards system to ensure maximum accuracy and efficiency
• Move material within the warehouse and manufacturing plant
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by work area, such as safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, gloves, and steel toe shoes.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of hazardous conditions and support Pentair’s safety programs by following all established safety processes
• Complete other duties as assigned

Essential Requirements:

• Have basic math skills
• Have the ability to speak, read, and write English
• Have 1-3 years previous experience in a similar role
• Have experience using Microsoft Office products
• Know how to handle complexity in a fast pace manufacturing environment
• Be able to work overtime on a regular basis
• Be able to lift frequently 3-25 pounds and infrequently 25-40 pounds, as well as regularly bend and reach
• Be able to stand for an entire eight hour shift
• Be able to work independently and also with a team
• Have the ability to identify unsafe conditions and report them to the department team leader, supervisor, manager, or EH&S Specialist

• Basic distribution knowledge
• Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
• Excellent attendance
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a 10-Panel Drug Screen.
• Must pass a Background Check
• Must be eager to Grow & Learn.
