The Opportunity
We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Manager, Master Data & Supplier Enablement in our Lake County, Abbott Park, IL location.
As the Senior Manager, you will lead global strategy and operations for Vendor Master Data and Supplier Enablement. Oversee teams across multiple regions, driving supplier lifecycle management and integration within procurement systems. Ensure alignment with enterprise sourcing platforms, compliance standards, and digital transformation initiatives while promoting operational excellence and stakeholder collaboration. Define data standards, establish business rules, implement quality metrics, and manage master data operations and applications. Act as a key liaison with business process stakeholders worldwide and champion the growth of shared services to support the global operating model.
Oversee and lead on-going operation of Abbott’s future state master data model.
What You'll Work On:
Data Strategy: Develop and execute short- and long-term objectives for vendor master data. Ensure data quality, integrity, availability, and privacy across the enterprise. Report KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and lead change management initiatives.
Data Quality: Monitor and audit master data regularly; resolve discrepancies to maintain accuracy and reliability.
Workflow & Compliance: Define enterprise-wide processes for master data operations. Ensure adherence to corporate and divisional policies, introduce new compliance measures as needed, and support internal/external audits. Implement fraud mitigation programs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with procurement, finance, IT, ERP teams, shared services, and divisional representatives. Foster external partnerships for benchmarking and continuous improvement. Serve as a trusted advisor for supplier enablement initiatives.
M&A Integration: Oversee integration of new data sources during mergers and acquisitions.
Governance & Analytics: Produce KPIs and analytics to establish global master data governance. Lead requirements gathering, system selection, and implementation of future-state master data platforms.
Leadership: Direct and develop global staff, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Present findings and recommendations to senior executives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
7–10 years of experience managing complex organizations with master data and related business processes.
Expertise in SAP and Ariba strongly preferred

The base pay for this position is $127,300.00 – $254,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
